Through the loan, she purchased additional meat to sell, thus her income increases and her vending activity was improved. She really works diligently to be able to attain her goals in life especially to provide the necessities of her family. Charito Acosta was so happy for the loan that she received from ASKI, she used the loan to buy additional meat products to sell in the market. She now have many kinds of meat to sell to her customers. With that, she can now earn more income which helps a lot to sustain the needs of her family. She really works hard to give her children a better future.

Charito Acosta is from the village of San Pedro Ili Alcala, Pangasinan. Charito is 49 years old, married and has three adult-aged children. To make a living, she owns & operates a business venture in the retail sector operating a meat vending business located in the public market. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from vending meat of pork and chicken in their public market. Charito has been engaged in her business for over five years and earns approximately 4,000 PHP a month for these activities. In 2009, she joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a new loan of 5000 PHP which will be used to have additional working capital to be able to purchase more products to sell. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to expand her business and to improve their living condition.
