She is married and the mother of 4 kids. Her kids are in school at the primary and junior high schools. Araba lives with her children in a family apartment at a community called Mumford. It is in the Coastal Region of Ghana. A sizable number of the inhabitants are engaged in fishing activities. However, quite appreciable number is also involved in trading and other business activities. Araba is a seamstress by profession. She sews all kinds of fashionable wears. She says she started her shop ten years ago and has since trained eight young ladies in sewing who have started their own businesses in other communities. Currently, three apprentices are under going training. She also trades in groceries. She believes the loan assistance would enable to procure assorted quality clothing materials and sewing accessories where customers would buy materials and prescribe a style to be sewn at the same time. She hopes to increase her income to enable her save more to support her kids’ education.
