Margaret Oforiwaa
Margaret Oforiwaa is fifty - four years old. She is married and a mother of three children who are all girls. She says due to financial constraints, none of her children could further their education after the elementary level. The first born is now independent and working. She lives with the husband and some of her children in a town called Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Her husband is a cocoa farmer. Margaret enjoys trading very much. She owns a provision shop in which she sells groceries such as milk, milo, sugar, biscuits, bread and many other food items. She has been in business for three years. Margaret also owns a cocoa farm in her community. Her shop is in front of her house. She says that she procures most of her goods from the big cities nearby. Margaret wants to use the loan to procure goods in large quantity to stock her shop. She hopes to increase the size of her shop.

Margaret has successfully completed repayment of her loan. She says it has been fruitful with the loan and she is now on top of her business. Though Margaret was not met at her shop but through phone call, she was happy to share with us progress about her business since she had travel to purchase stock. After receiving her second loan cycle with SAT from OptINnow donors, she says she is gradually scaling up her business profit which is making her life quite easy now
In order to take her business to another level, Margaret has applied for another loan to be disbursed to her next week to enable her buy groceries in advance. As Christmas season is approaching, every trader would love to buy stock in advance because prices go up during the season.
