Your talent in handling a business could be your best asset in putting up a business. This is the case of the couple Mr. and Mrs. Crizaldo Mendoza. They have a business in landscaping and gardening which started only from their habits.

Mrs. Emelita Mendoza, 39, from Puerto Princesa Palawan is a high school graduate and is married to Mr. Crizaldo Mendoza, 43, also a high school graduate. They have 5 children; the eldest is 20 years old while the youngest is 4 years old. All their children were studying the two elders are in college, one in high school and the two younger children are in primary school.

The couple wanted to give their children a better future but because of the reason that they were just both high school graduates they don't have any regular income. Emelita decided to invest their small savings in gardening and landscaping. They bought some tools needed for this job. She believes that her husband has a talent in landscaping and she has also a talent in gardening. So in order to earn income from it they have posted some announcements in front of their house that they are accepting jobs for landscaping.

Emelita also put up her own garden beside their house because she could also earn money from it by selling different plants to their clients. Their customers started to increase because of their good designs. From the money they earned from their works, they started to put up a variety store.

She is so happy for the achievements of their business. They were able to send their children in school. She feels so glad because the whole family is supporting their business. Emelita is the one maintaining the garden while her children are helping her in cultivating the land and watering the plants everyday. Her husband is the one doing the landscaping work and at the same time making an effort to find clients.

Emelita admitted that they still need additional capital for the expansion of their business. She wants to buy the needed tools and equipment to help her husband. She also needs some funds because she wants to send her husband for seminars and trainings about landscaping to enhance his talent. She would like to expand their variety store into a grocery to generate more income.

Now, Emelita is saving some of their income for the future of their children. She wants to give them a better education and through the help of their business she knows that she don’t have to worry anymore.

Emelita Mendoza is now enjoying her business in landscaping and gardening. She used the money that she loaned from the organization in purchasing tools to be use in her business. They bought different plants for their garden and sold it to their customers.

She also used some of the money as additional capital for her sari-sari store to generate extra income. Her children and her husband are helping her in managing their business that is why Emelita felt so thankful for their support.

With the additional capital, their income increased and it was a big help for the college education of their children.

Emelita is now assured that she could provide the needs of her family. They are now earning enough for the studies of their children.

Emelita maintained her good record in the organization. She is paying her weekly obligations on time.

Emelita now has collection of different kinds of plants and flowers which she is selling to her customers. Her husband is always attending different seminars and research about their business and the result is more improved landscaping designs and knowledge.

She is also managing her variety store well. The additional capital she availed really helped her a lot to improve her businesses.

They have now regular clients for landscaping and everytime some hired them, she also hired some people to help her husband. She is now enjoying her business and she was tkhankful for the opportunity given to her.
