Morison is not a fisherman but deals in the fishing gadgets. He owns a store in which he sells logistics such as fishing nets, floats, petrol for fueling fishing boats, etc. According to Morison, since fishing is the major occupation by the people in Aquase, his community, they (fishermen) buy these products to enable them to efficiently operate.
Morison has been in this business for five years and wants a loan to procure other logistics to stock his shop. He hopes to improve upon his standard of living.
Client Update
Morison was met during a visit to his business site to share with us news about his business progress. Before receiving a loan from Sinapi Aba Trust (SAT), he had the major challenge of financing his business. He could scarcely buy his product in bulk to meet the demands of his customers.
With his recent loan, he was able to purchase fishing nets of various sizes, floats, fishing gear as well as pre-mixed fuel to serve his customers. He was glad to reveal that the loan received from OptINnow has increased his working capital enabling him to make bulk purchase. Being able to buy in bulk is very advantageous. It means fewer trips to fill the demand, and it is a hedge against the rapidly rising prices. he now makes profit margin between 70-80 cedis per week which is thrice his previous profits. After receiving his second loan cycle with SAT from OptINnow lenders, Morison says he is gradually scaling up her business profit which is making his life quite easy.
He re-invested part of his profits into his business and the other part for his household expenses. He also makes his payments on schedule.
Morison is doing well in his business and thanks all his lenders for giving him the opportunity to provide for himself and family.
