She may be unfortunate to her husband but she is lucky in her business. She has a small sari-sari store and through this business she was able to provide the needs of her family.

Amajuda Cruz, 38, is a native of Isabel Leyte. She was married to Raul Cruz but after just a few years they got separated. She has an 8 year old daughter.

Amajuda was deeply affected when she and her husband got separated. With one daughter left to her, she was very hopeless if how could she able to provide the needs of her child. She decided to return in her hometown in Isabel Leyte and she live with her parents. To sustain their needs, she worked as a cashier of a grocery owned by one of her relatives. After just a few months she decided to resign because no one would take care of her daughter. She wanted to put up a business but she has no capital to start with. To come up with her plans she decided to borrow an initial capital from her sister and she put up a small sari-sari store.

After just a few months, she was able to buy more goods for her store and her customers also started to flock. She was really a good business woman because with her proper management of her business she was able to save some money for the studies of her child. She was also able to help her parents for their daily needs. She also purchased some household appliances. Her parents are so happy with her business because she may be unfortunate in her husband but she is lucky in her business.

As of now, Amajuda is still asking for an additional capital for her business. She wanted to purchase more goods for her store to accommodate the needs of her customers. She also wanted to widen the space of her store to display more goods and she wanted to buy a refrigerator to be able to sell soft drinks and frozen foods.

An additional income would be a big help for Amajuda. All she wanted is to give her child an education for a better future.
