Candida Gamolo

Every one wants to be successful in their chosen field. Candida chose to be successful in business. She is helping her husband in sustaining their family needs through her small sari-sari store.

Candida Gamolo, 46, is a native of Dauis Bohol. She is married to Matimiano Gamolo, a driver. They were blessed with 6 children, the eldest is in high school while the youngest is in elementary.

Candida’s husband is working as a van driver of a certain resort located near their barangay. The income of her husband was just enough for their daily needs and Candida felt that she has to do something to help her husband in earning money for the sake of their children. She is worried that they may not able to cope up with their expenses especially now that their children are studying. Candida finds it hard to make a living in a coastal town but she is really eager to help her husband raise their family.

From her small savings, she decided to put up a small sari-sari store. She started from a few items and she slowly adds some items every time she has some spare money. After just a few months, their sales increase and she was able to save some money for an additional capital. Her husband was very supportive of their business that some of his salary was also use as an additional capital to purchase some goods.

With her proper management of their business, she was able to help her husband in sustaining the needs of their children especially on their studies. She was also able to renovate their house and purchase some household appliances.

As of now, Candida is still hoping for an additional income for her business expansion. She wanted to convert her sari-sari store into a grocery store and purchase more commodities to meet the demands of her customers.

An additional capital will be a big help for Candida and her family. all she wanted is to give her children a better future and a good education.
