Cecilia Calachan
Cecilia and her husband had been longing to have other business's aside from their usual vegetable vending. Her husband started to make tables for the market vendors and from the rental fees he collected from it they were able to sustain the needs of their children.
Cecilia Calachan, 31, is a resident of Culasi Antique. She is married to Arnulfo Calachan, a vegetable vendor. They were blessed with 3 children who are all in elementary.
Cecilia met her husband Arnulfo 13 years ago. He was already a vegetable vendor and when they got married, Cecilia helped her husband in his business. They are selling different kinds of vegetables in the market everyday but their income was just enough for their daily needs. It was when their children started to enter school that the couple felt the urge to have other business because the income from their business could barely sustain their daily needs.
Arnulfo learned that many vendors were having problems in displaying their products because there were no tables available in the market. Some of them were just displaying their products on the floor. From their savings he decided to make some tables made of bamboo and make it available for rent to all vendors. The rental fees of his tables are on daily basis and he is the one collecting the rentals. On the other hand, Cecilia is focusing her attention on their vegetable vending. She also wanted to help her husband in providing for their family financially.
Cecilia still needed additional capital for her business expansion. She wanted to purchase more of her products to generate more income. She also wanted to have additional capital to purchase more materials for their table business.
Additional capital will be a big help for Cecilia and her family. All that she wanted is to give her children a better future and a good education. She wanted to save some money for the education of their children.
