Alma Celino
"A business minded woman." This is how Alma describes herself. She has been in the business for long years and she had also experienced ups and downs in business but still she managed to open up another business which is selling frozen foods and fried chicken.
Alma Celino, 43, is a resident of Dumalag Capiz. She is married to Pedro Celino and they were blessed with 4 children. The eldest is 18 years old and the youngest is 11 years old.
Alma and her husband have a business of their own which was a bakery. It was their first ventured business and they have used their combined savings to put it up. Their business went well but when competitors started to sprout and the prices of the flour and other ingredients increased, the couple decided to close their bakery. It was a hard decision for them but they had no other choice.
The couple invested their remaining money in putting up other business which is selling fried chicken and frozen products in front of their house. They are helping each other to improve their business. Her husband is the one doing the marketing while Alma is the one assigned to cooking the fried chicken. Their children are also helping them in selling their products to the customers.
It was just a simple business but the couple was very happy with the outcome because through their daily income from their business, they were able to send their children in school and provide their daily needs.
Alma still needed additional capital for her business expansion. She wanted to improve the facilities of her business to attract more customers. She also wanted to have a food cart to sell her products in the town.
An additional income will be a big help for Alma and her family. She really wanted to give her children a better future and a good education.
