Mary Anyango Oloo is a 45 yr old enterprising entrepreneur. She is widowed but she’s taking care of her sibling who is in college. Mary is determined to educate her sibling and provide him with a quality life.

For the last five years, Mary has been running a general shop which according to her it keeps on improving. She is currently making a monthly profit of ksh25000 and has managed to employ one person. Mary’s short term goal is to work towards increasing her monthly profit. She’s projecting to be earning at least 35000 per month before April 2010.

Opportunity Kenya is currently funding Mary with the third loan that Mary intends to invest by increasing his stock and even diversifying by stocking new products. This she says will enable her to capture new customers as she works towards retaining the old customers. She is very optimistic about the future and she has specifically singled out the next six months as the turning point for her business.
