Janet Abeka

Janet Abeka is 55 years old. She is a widowed mother of seven children, all of whom are pursuing education in senior high, junior high and primary schools.

Janet lives with her children in a rented apartment in a commercial town called Mankessim in the Coastal part of Ghana.

Janet is a baker. She bakes bread and supplies to retailers in her community. Janet procures bags of flour, margarine, yeast etc. from nearby cities to bake her bread. She has been in business for over twenty years and wants a loan to buy ingredients in bulk. Bulk purchase would enable her to avoid price hikes and cut down on frequent travels to purchase ingredients. It would also help her to increase the quantity of bread baked and eventually raise her profit margin. It is her desire to make enough income to support all kids through school.
