Agnes Otoo

Agnes Abeka is forty seven years old. She is married and the mother of seven children, all of whom are pursuing education in senior high, junior high and primary schools.

She lives with her children in a rented apartment in a commercial town called Mumford in the Coastal part of Ghana. Agnes is a baker. She bakes bread and supplies to retailers in her community. Agnes procures bags of flour, margarine, yeast etc. from nearby cities to bake her bread. She has been in business for about ten years and wants a loan to buy ingredients in bulk. Bulk purchase would enable her to avoid price hikes and cut down on frequent travels to purchase ingredients. It would also help her to increase the quantity of bread and eventually raise her profit margin. It is her desire to make enough income to support all kids through school.
