Zaida Salcedo Pitalua

Zaida is a 34 year old mother of two young children, who currently attend public primary school. She is also married to Geomar who works independently at the beaches of Cartagena, Colombia renting sun tents to tourists.

Zaida is very proud to be a part of the trust group in her community called "New Paradise” she says she feels very supportive by the group, who encourage her to continue improving her business selling through catalog and on credit, silver jewelry, perfumes and makeup kits.
She says her business started very small, and with the help of God and her daily hard work, she has been able to improve it.

She plans on using her loan to purchase additional inventory and also greater quantities of her traditional products, thus increase her daily sales volume and her profits.

Her most important goal includes be able to provide her family better living conditions and finish her secondary school.
